Alienshamanism
by Dr Jan (guru)

Now here is something rather special,as MIC magazine (UK) put it,"a band
that successfully manages to mix well written traditional songs with dance beats and it is divine".
The band is Dr jan (guru),and the album is "Alienshamanism".
Long awaited, and 3 years in the making, expectations have been rising
ever since one of its tracks appeared first on a British Embassy sponsored
Charity cd for Princess Diana`s anti landmine appeal.
Its clear something extra-ordinary is going on;on paper alone it
would makefor delicious gossip and wonderful PR fodder. The trappings
of stardom atthe birth of a star.
Here are the facts as we currently know them:
Jan,aka
Dr Jan (guru) is currently recording in Japan, but play concerts
in the UK,and to large audiences in places as far afield as Holland
and the Philippines.Truly an international outfit.
His male/female band come from Japan, the UK,and LA,but all insist
they
are aliens, and wear wierd sexy skin tight alien clothes on stage. The
sexy
oriental band dancer,Eri,met the other members at a somewhat erotic
UFO
cult.
Jan has just finished an electronic sound effects album with an
ex member of "Japan".His similar release last year sold
in YAMAHA shops in Japan nationally, and available in TOWER records
etc was the number one selling Sampling cd in Tokyo.
Jan
has remixed a member of DURAN DURAN,and snippets of said member`s
voice appear on this album (by permission!). They ve had a Number
ONE electronic music best seller in Europe ;the label compilation
"World wide kind".
Dr
jan (guru) hope to return and take the UK by storm and start an
indie
revolution. If youre tired of whats going on now and want something
you could do many a worse thing than to try this, outtasight, outtaspace
band back from outtatown.
