The 1/2 Creeper
25 Records has done it again. Every so often, I get a new compilation
CD from them, each with a different title, each with a collection
of songs that I go ga-ga over. This time, the album goes by the
name "Olive's Army" and, wow, it features twenty three
songs, most of which make me hunger to hear a few full length releases.
Let's see, who is worth mentioning this time around...well, let's
start off with Spotless, they've got a female vocalist that's sweeter
than cotton candy. I don't know who she is, but, I'm in love. Ah,
yes, I live for this style of music. Pure pop magic. The Holsteins,
more of the same. But, I'm a huge fan already, I wanna hear more.
Trophy Wife, Curious Oyster, The Cats, Choker...my God, there's
not a bad song in sight. For well over an hour, all you get is extreme
musical pleasure. Damn, I'm in Heaven here people. This is one of
the best compilation albums that I have ever heard. I might sound
greedy, but, I WANT MORE! This is an absolutely fantastic CD and
everyone who reads this magazine should own a copy. If not, there's
something wrong with you...seek help.
