Here we take an in depth look at some of the things these bizarre creatures get up to when they're not covering each other in blu-tac...

Visit Cerulean Blue

Vikkey is a pioneer in the ancient art of paper tearing. This, among her other capabilities including; smear bottling, Edward truncation and politely encouraging small woodland creatures to vote, combines to construct a favourable package in the eyes of us all.(available only while stocks last)

Truly inspired by the words of Buck Rogers, Vikkey continues her quest to become one of the finest Tofu Sculptresses in the Kingdom. Other hobbies include trampoline calibrating and Spanish Armchairy. Surely this is enough to keep most of us busy!

Craig: Bass slinging hydrogenous plant formation found in the outer reaches of hospital canteens. Little is known of this melonalchoholic effervescent clump of vegetation. Other than the markings of stale beer and banana custard, this hybrid can only be spotted by close examination of its nature; strong language, pertness of breath, and a psyche stylised by the tag, "Homer". Byron once wrote: "Ahhh, my sweet Craig....elderberry panhandle, clockwork frog-gloves! Truly a grassy knoll to be associated with....my sweet, sweet cinder pestilence holder!". Inspiring words to live by....

Steve: Six string harbinger of goodness, god-like figure of beauty, master of award-winning-potato gestating, all in all, a darn `nice' bloke among mortal men. Steve was conceptualised from humble beginnings. Born in a hessian sack by the side of the Putney YMCA, Charlotte, as he was known then, was raised by a local family of herbalists and gained spiritual enlightenment through the art of placing figs in the bowler hats of passing businessmen. Replete with his new found love for dried fruit, he commenced his research into the mystical phenomenon that is...Pan pipe music of the fourteenth century. Known for its mysterious healing powers, the pan pipe and our hero have bonded to become Legion....for he is are what many is lots many....are....er.....

Mike: The FBI and the National Security service joined forces in 1973 to embark on an unspecified and highly secretive genetic project. It has recently come to light that the artist formally known as `Mike', who we shall refer to only as `Mike', is the product of this bizarre experiment. Delving further, we found that on closer examination of this otherwise "normal" animal, the infrastructure is based on a foreign element which scientists are calling "liquorice". Even stranger, `Mike' knows no vowels and communicates with a rural Canadian accent. Of course, all the above government agencies deny all participation in this heinous debacle. As the famous Mulder saying goes..."Dr Ruth is out there...".

Heather Steeley, postal interview December 1997

Name of outfit: Cerulean Blue

Members and their parts to play: Vickky vocals, guitar, songwriter. Mike drums and percussion. Steve lead guitar. Craig bass clef.

A little bit of history:

Members taking part in interview

1. How did you all meet? Vikky and Mike met around 4 years ago in the bar of a posh hotel, Mike played the ‘Night in shinning amour’ and came to her rescue, as she was receiving unwanted attention from a slimy, over friendly pimp type person. They then poached the depths of the musical dole queue for Stephen and Craig. They originally came to the cow shed, where they were rehearsing at the time, to audition for lead guitar. Craig wasn’t good enough , but Mike pointed out that he was really good at bass type actions and got the job on the strength of an ass kicking performance.

2. How long have you been together? 2 years ago we finally got together.

3. Has it been a long hard road to fame? Tell us when we get there.

4. Who is the main song writer? Vikky

5. Are there any band squabbles? Yes, but Lennon and McCartney did also, and look how far they got!

6. What is the ‘scene’ like in your area? ‘Seen’ and not heard.

7. Who or what inspired you to become a musician? Vikky ‘Bionic’ and David Hasselhoff, Steve - Rolf Harris, Craig - when Craig was a ‘sperm in his mother womb’ he was influenced by the sound of his mothers intestinal fortitude, Mike - Sandra Bullock and the Inventor of Tapas.

8. Who are your favourite bands of the moment? Vikkey -Vanilla, Steve ‘what’s the question’, Craig ‘elastic ones’, and Mike - Beck.

9. What are highs and lows of being in a band? High points, back to Denise Van Outen’s dress again, showing off, ‘fuck!’, low points ‘arse!’.

10. Do you prefer recording in the studio or playing live shows? Unanimously live, but Craig prefers a bath.

11. Do you have any advice for bands just starting out? Practice, don’t bother, don’t bother practising, and voodoo.

12. Sum up your music in three words? Fuckin’ excellent man!!!
