What's the name of the band, and how did you come up with the name? cor-crane.There`s a great little known American band called Polvo.We took our name from the title of their first record,`cor-crane secret`.We dont`t know what it means,it just sounds good to us.

Ian Maxwell:vocals,guitar

Silvia Eichholt:vocals,keyboards

Massimo Peter:bass,guitar

Axel Schmidt:Drums

How did you meet? Ian and Massimo played together in a band called Tweezerz before they left to form cor-crane. Silvia saw the first cor-crane gig and joined soon after. Axel was a friend of Silvia and he came into the band after our first drummer, Carmen left.

How long have you been together? The present line-up has been together for 2,5 years.

Where is the band based? Cologne(Köln),Germany.

Who or what inspired you to become a musician? Early Buffalo Tom/Dinosaur Jr.,The Wedding Present,Michael Schenker! What bands are you listening to at the moment? Superdrag,Big Star,Son Volt,Badly Drawn Boy,Wannadies.......

What are some of your favourite songs? Everything Flows:Teenage Fanclub,September Girls:Big Star,Collapsis:Dillon Fence,Larry:Buffalo Tom,nearly every single Wedding Present song!

 

Do you prefer to play in the studio or live gigs? Nothing compares to playing live.

Describe your sound. Guitar driven Power Pop Where can people come and see you play? Clubs in and around Cologne.

What do you like about being a part of 25 Records? We like the enthusiasm with which the people at 25 Records go about their work.They`re friendly and uncomplicated. 25 Records has given us the chance to bring our music to a much wider audience.

What are most of your songs about? Long lost teenage years,heroes past and present,anything trashy and tacky!

Give us an interesting story that happened either at a gig, or while writing or recording a song. Our first drummer Carmen surprised us by wearing a mini skirt for our first gig which we played in our practice room.What wasn`t surprising however,was that most of the audience sat down throughout and we played more or less facing Carmen to get a better look!!

Do you play any weird or unusual instruments? Not that we know of.

Have you been in other bands? The Bouffants,Peter Parkers,Breadcrumb Trail,Flame Tavern,Tweezerz,Popkiller.

Do you have any interesting stories involving the police or breaking the law? ( That we can post on the site) We never get caught!
