Since the release of 25 Records "Ouch" compilation there
has been plenty of movement in the Eternal Energy camp.
"Soulfire" was written and records by Nick Weaver using
sequenceing and sampling technology, and after using backing tracks
to perform for quite a while, the decision was taken to form a band
and heighten the impact of concerts.
This has proved very successful and led Nicks material down a new,
refreshing and fruitful avenue. Fronted by a double electric acoustic
tour-de-force, and complemented by keyboards, very funky drums,
melodic bass and two female vocalists, this is music to make your
soul shimmer!
Each of the girls has a distinct and different style, with Anish
Harrison's full on attack, gutsy and in your face whilst Jill Dowse's
sings sweet and soulful, husky Nick which are included in concerts,
bringing the dynamics of three excellent, colourful vocals to the
'live' performance.
At present Eternal Energy plan to play as far and wide as possible,
and have been encouraged to pursue the festival events as the sound
they have created is a prefect compliment to an open air, summer
stage.
The transfer from samples to acoustic has proved that in what ever
format, the essence of Nicks song writing is central, and shines
through as a force and seal of quality.
