A few words about each band.
Blaze: Jeanie: Having stripped rock
back to the bone and chewed all the jelly from the marrow , Blaze
have only one true aim, to take over the world.
Osmosis: Education: Punk has a
new heart and it's called Osmosis - 3 guys and 1 gal + lots of noise
Dr Jan [guru]: Alienshamanism: Dr
Jan [guru] take the frigid sass of size-eight house music, blow
its friendly inhibitions wobbly thigh high, and make a dance like
a string of beans on speed.
Wolventrix: How refreshing:
An Oxford based four piece with a diverse musical background, reflected
in the breath and depth of our songs.
The Trimatics: Simple morning: The Trimatics are a trio of
childhood buddies who have embellished the Swedish pop scene with
their indie - jangly pop and knock out charm. Previously known as
'Opossum', this is their first release as 'The Trimatics'.
The Expressions: Why can't everything just go the way I planned?
The Expressions featuring songwriter and singer Indy Clark. Good,
honest, reliable songs about breaking up, breaking down, falling
apart and picking up the pieces.
Red Ash and the Love Commandos:
Get off my car: We might not change youth culture radically, but
who knows what's going to come next? Red Ash is definitely now and
it's impossible to see who else is gonna square up to the chart
clogging shite.
Plastik: The White Room: Something
to believe in.
Dan T's Inferno: Wirewalker: From
the deep uncharted South (Poole, Dorset), blows a warm sweet breeze
of blissful feel real sound from the soulful carnyride cabaret that
is Dan T's Inferno.
Conspiracy: Fast train: We are an indie rock band from Southern
Hampshire with an ethnic percussion sound and contemporary keyboards
and guitars. Looking to expand our horizons.
Ascension: Word on the Street:
Ascension are a Christian Band based in Northern Ireland. The song
is taken from the album 'Trendy to the roots?'
Sandy Shores: Last night: Sandy
Shores is a Parisian band with an English singer, created in 98
when Angus tripped over Frederic at the Reading 98 festival, ca
va oui?!
Riser: Spitting teeth: Tight knit
trio, specializing in a rather tasty brand of US college rock -
influenced power pop.
Herrod: Sat down beside her: Herrod were formed in early
2000 and are based in Halifax. Wow! Like noise? Love Herrod!!
The Shopliftingangels: What
hides inside: Started in March 2000 more or less as a drunken
joke, but has since then become a massive fuel injection for people
around the world.
Roundwound: Wrong again: . .
. this is an introduction to one of England best up and coming bands
ever.
Deansgate: On my knees: It's an odd mixture of huge conviction
and slightly scruffy execution. But with some great tunes to back
them you with, you will believe in them too!
The Visitors: Down to the sea:
Take a mixture of social apathy and carbohydrate, add unequal amounts
of unemployment, alcoholism and dire poverty, shake well, stand
back and you have The Visitors!
Shiver Slinky: Shibboleth: Our
music is guitar based with a tribal and ethnic influences. We have
a diverse range of songs that are always felt rather than forced.
Sometimes ambient and lucid, sometimes pounding and orchestral but
always spiritual and challenging.
Parkstone Dub Foundation: Alcohol:
Our mission? To make music for people who hate music with a vengeance
and who will ask for our tunes to be played at their funerals.
The Story
How refreshing, said Jeanie, just a Simple morning in The White
Room. Why can't everything just go the way I planned?
The Word on the Street is that Last night, we took a Fast train,
ignored Alcohol and Alienshamanism Education we had learnt from
the Wirewalker
On my knees, I Sat down beside her, Spitting teeth, thinking
Get off my car, Down to the sea, What hides inside the Shibboleth?
Wrong again!
Well, if that made sense to you maybe you shouldn't drink/smoke
so much.
