The Visitors:
Biopsy!
The Visitors were born in Bridgwater 1998 AD. With no family
to speak of, the band was left orphaned amidst the evils of a
small post-industrial town. Taking its first steps on the circuit
of working menıs bars, pubs and gin-and-neon nightclubs, the Visitorsı
staple diet was a motivating force of unemployment, alcoholism
and dire poverty. On this heady mixture of social apathy and carbohydrate,
the band quickly grew to adulthood, blossoming into a glorious
form of ex-teacher, ex-journalist, ex-kitchen salesman and The
Most Dangerous Man in Somerset. For a while it courted with love,
with sex, with drink, with obsession, then, with the release of
its first CD; Flying to the Ocean Floor, the band acquired a more
poetic experimental edge. This coincided with an expansion in
performance venues as far and remote as Prague and Dartmoor Jail,
now fully contrite and out on bail, The Visitors have recorded
their second CD; Moving Darkly.
Moving Darkly promo

This music is real, post-Industrial-dark-folk, this is the
sound of the Visitors, what have we got to lose, guitars and drums?
We meet in Quiet Time; the time between thought and action, swimming
to the sound of people. Vox hi, Vox lo; we soar to the abyssal
depths and record the first title ³flying to the ocean floor²
Now back, once again submitting to our true selves, we return
to our terrestrial roots and release the new title; ³Moving Darkly²
OUT NOW.
Gigging in the West, watch the press, keep looking.

Give us an interesting story that happened either at a gig,
or while writing or recording a song. Once playing Barton
St David festival the stage was overtaken by a possy of teenage
girls singing the theme tune from "Friends", we quickly brought
them round, and before the second number they were all holding
hands & pledging support for the creation of a backbiting and
sinister society. Cruel Youth!
Do you play any weird or unusual instruments? Brian plays
a 6 string bass, which is pretty wierd because most basses have
4 strings!!! In fact you've probably heard of Jet Harris who used
to play a 6 string bass when he left the Shadows but , well, he's
now penniless and living in Gloucester but Brian"s got all his
records and he think he's great. Although he is bald. Actually
he wasn't that good but we let Brian think of it that way. Oh
yeah, and Alexia plays the marbles.

good
